Last night’s adult move: getting the check after one cocktail. (In related news, the musical Cats literally drove me to drink. WTF, Andrew Lloyd Webber?)

Finally!! Someone else who doesn’t get the whole singing/dancing cat thing.

Phew!

What a big day of training!

Started the day by teaching RPM. My first morning RPM class in over 18 months and believe me I felt every single minute of it. It always feels great to be back instructing though (it may be the drama queen in me or it could be the part of me that loves attention… It’s hard to say…) and I’m looking forward to the next one.

Lunchtime was off to the gym to have another go at a week of The Texas Method of weight training. I must’ve gone at the wrong time because usually no one in the gym goes near the power racks while I’m there, but today I couldn’t get near one. Ended up having to do Lat Pulldown instead of Deadlifts. Not happy. Squats and Bench went well. Next week I’m aiming to squat the same but really work on depth. My hips just didn’t want to go as low as I wanted them to dammit.

And just to round it out dragged my butt out the door (after a very short post-work nap) for an ultra slow 35min run. Believe me when I say it was ULTRA slow, but I just needed to run. Nothing keeps my head on straight like running and believe me, when you’re in love with one of your closest friends you gotta do everything you can to keep your head on straight… :-S

There may be some aches and pains tomorrow though…

Wanted to start taking some photos on my runs but managed to forget again. Dammit.

Anyway… Managed to get out there for another 45mins even though felt like my legs were going to fall off. Couldn’t get to the gym at lunchtime again (Grrr!) so am going to have to make up that session tomorrow (sob…).

At least the Sasquatch got out there again today for his run. That’d be the end of me writing his programs if he’d skipped another run. We’re even now though: he missed the run yesterday, I missed the weights today. Sometimes the real world stuff like work just gets in the way… At least we’re both getting in one session a day still.
